TRA is hosting ICANN regional outreach meeting

March 24, 2008, Dubai, UAE - The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority will be hosting the ICANN Regional Meeting from 1-3 April 2008 at the Dubai Grand Hyatt Hotel.
The meeting is aimed at policy makers, managers of country code Top-Level Domain (ccTLD), and Internet businesses, and is intended to discuss a variety of topics of concern to a wide range of stakeholders. Spread over three days, the agenda of the meeting is designed around three main themes: ICANN's multi-stakeholder model for addressing issues under its mandate; Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) - a key milestone in the development of the Internet as well as one of the key environmental challenges of the Strategic Plan; and challenges and opportunities in Registry/Registrar businesses and the current developments in the generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) space.
